Okay, so, I have no aspirations to become a "portrait painter", but I have been going to a weekly portrait painting group in Princeton, MA, hosted by the Princeton Art Society, because I think it is really important to keep returning to working from observation. Faces are so wonderful and challenging. I have painted with this group four times so far and this is the first painting I am happy enough with to post here.
