This is one of a number of paintings I made last week during a workshop with Tim Hawkesworth and Lala Zeitlyn at Bennington College in Vermont.
It was such a rich experience.
So much strong work was produced by all the participants.
Tim and Lala have this double gift of being sincere artists and graceful facilitators who are able to create a space and conjure an energy in the studio that invites such surprising things to happen.

ReplyDeleteHawkesworth is doing a three day workshop in Gloucester next month that I'd really like to attend. Having heard from a painter friend how challenged she was by him and now about your great experience I wish I could do it! Glad you had such great success.

There isn't a lot of overt "instruction", but a boat load of inspiration, support, and guidance at a deep level.
